O.K., dumb question time again ..... In the past I have asked about fixing my President Washington base radio, but didn't have any luck fixing it. I will either put it aside or take it apart for a parts radio. O.K., now on to #2 President Washington ..... (has the 858 chip). It receives (however I don't feel it receives as it should or the meter has a problem), but it doesn't transmit. I can hear the relay click when I key the mike, but listening to a radio right next to it, I hear NOTHING. I checked voltage at the driver and the final and the voltages are as follows (don't know which legs, but you'll get the idea) driver = .01v, .02v, and 0v. The final is .02v,.07v, and 0v. I checked these with the radio on, but without keying the mike. Anyone care to tell me where the driver and final get their power from?? Or would someone like to chime in and help me get this P.W. working?? We'll have to go slow, b/c I work during the day. Your help would be GREATLY appreciated. Thanks, Timm .... :? :(
