Anyone know about the the Gizmotchy G31 a three element beam and the Jo Gunn Smokin Gunn II. Trying to decide which one. Both have similar specs. Just trying to see if anyone has ever used one or the other and any thoughts or coments. Thanks Big G. To all have a good weekend and holiday! I don't beleive it this post was put up about 6 hrs ago and no one has any input??

Have been using the Joe Gunn Smokin-Gun antenna for about six months now and love it.Amazing local and dx antenna. On a 40' tower with just a tv rotor and working excellent. Very easy to tune, and very broad banded.ImageImageImage

UncleDan, I appreciate the info. Looks like a good setup. I have a 30' Rohn tower behind the house with a IMax 2000. I use to have a PDL II years ago. I got back in radio about 6 months ago and rather have a beam antenna. Have a good weekend. Big G.

There is a law of antennas and it is IF a antenna is tune to the frequency all will have about the same gain for the same number of elements and boom length. There is no such thing as audio gain.

Gizmotchy makes a 6 meter beam that is very good It's on my list when the rotor here is replaced.
We have a local on 6 who is running a 4 elm one on 50 mhz with very good results. REAL Gain has been measured at just over 6 dbd.

I think Gizmotchy manufactures a 2 meter beam as well.

This one is for UncleDan: I did purchase the Smokin Gun II. Hopefully I will have it up in about a week or so. I'm making preperations for it now. Big G.
